A General Labourer will work under the direction of the Site Superintendent and will be responsible for performing manual labour (clean up, sweeping, moving materials, etc.), organizing areas, and other assigned duties. They will be a hardworking individual and self-starter who can complete tasks with minimal supervision. They may also work with a variety of different hand tools and equipment including skid-steer or a forklift (if accredited). Predictable on-site attendance as per the posted schedule is essential. They must have good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina as this position requires constant movement and use of limbs. This includes standing for several hours, the ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push, and pull.

This position is site-based in Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Port Moody, and the surrounding areas.

• Cleaning the site of debris (sweeping, removing trash, moving materials)
• Load and unload building materials and move materials within work area.
• Perform daily maintenance tasks to ensure site is clean.
• Operating various hand tools.
• Operate and maintain company assets and equipment without supervision.

• Previous experience with general labour.
• Legally eligible to work full-time.  
• Must have own method of transportation.
• Must have basic math skills, use a calculator, and read a tape measure.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills. 
• First Aid is an asset.
• Skid-steer experience is an asset. 
• Rigging and forklift/telehandler accreditation is an asset.
• Ability to work effectively with team members.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

• Workload is moderate to high.
• Frequently exposed to noise. 
• Work schedule is typically Monday to Friday 7:30AM to 4:00PM.
